A CERTIFIED AND AWARDED COMMITMENT
ISO 9001 & TL 9000
ISO 9001 is by far the world’s most established quality framework which sets the standard for quality management systems. TL 9000 is an unified set of quality system requirements and metrics designed specifically for the Telecommunications industry.
TCT is certified ISO 9001 since 2014 for its whole organization, from R&D to After-sales. We are certified TL 9000 since 2014.
For our customers, those certifications are guarantees that our organization has a strong quality system and procedures that provide the foundation to reliable products and services.

ISO 9001 has been reviewed in 2015 with new requirements.
All TCT sites are currently migrating their current quality system to ISO 9001 version 2015.

SA 8000 is an international standard based on the Code of Conduct affirmed by :
- International Labor Organization
- the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
- UN Convention on the Rights of a Child.
TCT complies with SA 8000. Our factory in China is audited each year by a third-party agency. We are certified since 2008.
OHSAS 18001 is an assessment Series for health and safety management systems. It is intended to help an organization to control occupational health and safety risk. TCT is certified OHSAS since 2008.
ISO 14001 is an international standard that helps our organization to identify aspects of our business that impact on the environment, and understand those environmental laws that are relevant to our situation.
Through ISO 14001 certification, we work towards minimizing our impact on the environment and help preserve valuable resources.
Other: GSV certification and meets the requirements of QC080000 and ISO 27001. The certification is ongoing for ISO 27001.
EcoVadis : For 2017, TCT has been awarded Gold level by Ecovadis. The rating reflects our performance on green operations, product stewardship, employment practices, human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement aspects.
Deutsche Telekom Best Practice in CSR Award: TCL Communication has joined Deutsche Telekom’s Supplier Development Program since 2014. Deutsche Telekom presented TCL Communication the Silver Award for the Best Practice in CSR in April 2016 which recognizes our commitment and achievement in employee care, energy conservation and green production.
ACESIA / AFNOR evaluation: on June 2016, TCL Communication has been evaluated by AFNOR, the most recognized French audit agency. Mandated by our Customer ALTICE, AFNOR has evaluated our performances regarding CSR. The final score given to is 71/100, vs 39/100 average in telecommunication industry.
CARING COMPANY awarded by Hong Kong Council of social service.
TCL is engaged in providing accessible devices to its consumers. The Global Accessibility Reporting Initiative (GARI) project was developed to provide a central information source to learn about accessibility in mobile devices.

HEALTH & SAFETY REGULATIONS
Our products comply with the local safety standards for every market we ship to. This includes CE for Europe, FCC for the US and CCC Mark for China.
Tests are arranged for REACH, RoHS and Halogen-Free compliance of our products by a third party which is certified by the National Accreditation Service. All products shipped to Europe meet the RoHS requirement Directive and REACH Regulations.
Our mobile phones are tested for SAR which is the standard defining exposure of the public by radio-frequencies emitted by mobile phones, which refers to a measuring unit, the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR).
You could find the SAR of your product on your User manual. TCT’ products comply with the SAR limitation directive.
85.5% of the materials used in our products are recyclable. Alcatel partners with local recyclers at various locations. In Europe, in compliance with the WEEE Directive, Battery Directive and Packaging Directive, TCL Communication has set up mechanisms for collecting obsolete handsets, postconsumer packaging and batteries.

CU boxes for products shipped to Europe contain 80% post-consumer fibre and are fully recyclable. All paper packaging, including printed user manuals, are made of fibre from Forest Stewardship Council FSC certified sources.
